The other day, I posted an entry titled – PM assures impartiality and fairness, but the KPMU and MYKMU are so kurang ajar!

Interestingly I received several comments. Now, the this one seems interesting as it contains the most scathing remarks about this blog. I will reproduce this comment below:

Saya tahu anda sering ke sini. Oleh itu terimalah ucapkan terima kasih atas penghinaan tersebut. Saya cuma turunkan sebahagiannya sahaja.

Untuk pengetahuan anda — Anak Haram a/l Jadah — bahawasanya anda tidak ada hak untuk menghina laman rumah orang lain. Anda boleh mengaku guru atau apa saja yang awak nak labelkan diri awak tetapi cercaan awak langsung tidak kena dan tidak ada kewajarannya.

Pelayar siber berhak memilih rumah mana yang relevan dan kritikal dalam konteks politik negara. Awak tidak perlu busuk hati kalau blog anda tidak mendapat sambutan. Atau berasa tersangat sakit hati kalau terbaca komentar pedas di ruangan ini.

Persaingan amatlah sengit. Kalau tidak ada daya tahan elok bagi awak ceburi profesion lain — seperti mengaup tahi babi untuk diasingkan di satu tempat bagi mencegah pencemaran sungai dan udara.

Kalau awak boleh melontarkan pandangan yang jijik kepada pesaing awak, tidak mungkinkah orang lain juga boleh melontarkan cemuhan yang lebih hina daripada itu terhadap diri kamu? Siapa yang ajar kamu adab dan budaya menghina individu lain kerana tercalar perasaan dengan kritikan bernas KPMU?

Sudah kamu ambil insurens bagi mulut kamu yang tidak berjahit itu? Atau awak mahu N. Sodom tutup mulut awak dengan sudu-mi (istilah pinjam).

Sedarkah awak penghinaan tersebut juga bakal tertimpa keatas anak awak, saudara awak; ahli PAS, PKR dan DAP, yang juga mengunjungi laman ini? Walau pun mereka melontarkan pandangan yang lebih hebat darjah ‘kurang ajar’ mereka tetapi pelayar sejati KPMU tidak sama sekali dengan sengaja menggunakan perkataan sehina itu terhadap mereka.

Untuk pengetahuan awak juga, demokrasi minda teramatlah berkembang subur dalam laman ini. Ia tidak seperti laman blog awak yang sengkek dan kering-kontang tanpa penghuni dan percambahan minda. Namun, yang pasti awak masih ditemani oleh dua orang ‘testis’ untuk dijadikan teman berbicara.

Tidak dinafikan pemahaman terhadap pembacaan ‘bahasa orang putih’ awak cukup-cukup makan, sebab itu awak tidak perasan yang segala artikel dan komentar dalam malaysia today, malaysia kini dan yang satu standard dengannya adalah seribu kali lebih dahsyat — tahap kurang ajar mereka terutama apabila ‘bersembang’ isu kaum dan agama?

Bukan saja depa pijak kepala malah naik atas serban pun ada.

Kenapa awak puji tinggi-tinggi mereka-mereka ini? Adalah kerana mereka juga “deeply attached to your balls” (pinjam perkataan RPK), makanya awak sanggup jilat selicin-licinnya “bullshit” yang disajikan?

Akhir kata, tak perlulah berasa diri awak itu besar semata-mata kerana bebas melontarkan cercaan dan hinaan terhadap orang lain. Untuk apa berasakan diri awak itu bagai ‘dewata’ semata-mata kerana mempunyai kebaculan (bukan keberanian) melontarkan cercaan dan cacian mengikut nafsu harakah?

Nota kaki: Guru Maha Graha tahi khinzir a.k.a. pembela ‘Liwatis’ (istilah pinjam) terima kasih sekali lagi dan selamat menggali liang roma sendiri.

So what shall I do with this comment. From my readings, this comment is typical of the mykmu and kpmu style of writing. If you read that comment – they liberally engage in ad-hominem.

Now, I will respond to one aspect of this comment. That comment says that I must not say bad things about their website. Now, what I wrote in this post is based on my right of free-speech. And more importantly what I wrote is in reciprocating what what they write. If they can engage in personal attacks to some one (in this case to Anwar Ibrahim), then they should be prepared to receive personal attacks too. I mean people in KPMU and mykmu continously say bad things about Anwar Ibrahim and anybody that they don’t like; so what is wrong if other blogger would say bad things about them? That is only fair!

I suppose those people in KPMU and mykmu should learn more about democracy…

And by the way, what I wrote in my blog is my own business. Oh… I don’t necessarily write just for the sake of getting visitors….

And finally I will say these words as I would have (or should have) said them in this post – PM assures impartiality and fairness, but the KPMU and MYKMU are so kurang ajar!

Pendukung-pendukung KPMU dan mykmu tidak lain dan tidak bukan hanyalah manusia-manusia kurang ajar, babi, bangsat dan bodoh!

Oh yes, I haven’t looked at neither the KPMU – http://www.kpmu.net/ nor the MYKMU – http://www.mykmu.net/ websites today. Perhaps I better do it now…

I tell you what… I am still into V Kumaresan’s Malaysiakini letter ‘Covering up’ won’t prevent social ills - (see http://www.malaysiakini.com/letters/83327).

Now, this post is a continuation of this previous post -  ‘Covering up’ won’t prevent social ills .

Now, I would like to focus on one issue relating to V Kumaresan’s letter.

To start…I like this portion from that letter, and so I am reproducing it here again…

Surely men are capable of controlling their thoughts and actions. If not, I think we are all in a lot of trouble as they currently hold a lot of power and responsibility in society.

I think our children and young women will benefit more from us empowering them to be brave and bold, and to assert themselves.

Adults, in turn, should treat them with respect and dignity and work to build their self-esteem. Restricting their clothing is not going to do them any favours.

I find V Kumaresan’s Malaysiakini letter interesting. As you can see, this letter in a way condemns the so called “moralising” statement of Munirah Bahari – the National Islamic Students Association of Malaysia vice-president. However, read that letter carefully and readers might agree that V Kumaresan is also using moral or morality especially in saying that men should control their thoughts and actions…. V Kumaresan is using morality to suppress people like Munirah Bahari. Of course Munirah Bahari is also promoting the use of morality and religion too…. The problem is that when opposing parties use morality, the debate will never be resolved….

Now…

I wonder, what readers would do if they find women in such a way like the one below…

I mean… I wonder how would they react….

What if the viewer is a 13 – 15 year old male school kid…. I ask you, if you are a 13 year old, how would you feel?

In my opinion, the issue of sexy and revealing school uniforms are mere symptoms. The real problem is sexual repression. For adolescents in Malaysia, they cannot express their sexual needs at the very time when their ‘sexual’ hormones are getting higher and higher. Now, this problem interestingly is not religious. And the problem of sexual repression can easily be solved; but not as solely suggested by Munirah Bahari).

The problem of sexual repression can easily be solved because marriage is permissible in the first instance when the youth have reached maturity (baligh). So the best way for Muslims to “protect” their religion and morality of their youths is to make marriages easy. In other words make marriage as easy as it is constituted in Islam. People may be surprised to know how easy it is to get married in Islam. But unfortunately due to traditions and even legal requirements, it is not easy to get married. Just ask your Malay friends how much they have to go into debt in order to get married… And look at the Syariah (state) legislations regarding marriages in Malaysia. In many instances, these legislations are onerously burdening potential marriages (which are of course the preferred and religiously right avenue to express sexual desires)…

And then the Malays are complaining about moral decay in their community…!

And people like Munirah Bahari are suggesting further repression!

So what do you think? This situation is another symptom of the “catastrophe” or al-Nakbah that the Malay community is now suffering?

Well, I suppose I may write more about this issue. Of course, that will be in the future!

Now… there is a nagging question though – what are the limits of democracy when it comes to the preservation of morality…

This is a question which all of us have to address carefully and sensitively… if we avoid this issue or approach it in a harsh and blunt way (and this applies to all sides!) then there will be a catastrophe…

And one of the catastrophe (or al-Nakbah) has already been felt…

One of the catastrophe is that many of us are living in hypocrisy. I am sure that many of the readers are Muslims… Of course they know that watching sexily dressed women is haram.. but they do it anyway…

Because they have the “power” to do so….

And because the moral guardians are not there to control such immoral behaviour…

And what happens when the moral guardians cease to be moral guardians?

Here is an interesting news from the BBC – Indonesia acts on internet porn

According to the news…

Indonesia’s parliament has passed a bill criminalising those who access internet sites containing violent or pornographic material.

Anyone found guilty of the new offence could be jailed for up to three years, or have to pay a heavy fine.

The legislation allows the courts to accept electronic material as evidence in cases involving internet abuse.

One of those involved in drafting the bill said children, in particular, needed protection from online images.

It passed with wide majority support from all 10 factions in the chamber.

The news piece does not mention the specifics of the proposed legislation. But of course if you are an Indonesian observer, you might say that the legislation is the UU Informasi Transaksi Elektronik or UU ITE.

Note UU = Undang -Undang.

UU ITE looks severe. So if you are in Indonesia and you are thinking about getting naked pictures of Sandra Dewi via the internet, you got to do it fast before April, that is the date when the proposed law takes effect.

I suppose the first thing to do is ask the question what is PPS and what are the functions of PPS.

I wonder what does that mean? Anyway, I also wonder if there is any alternative to Project Petaling Street.
