Merah Putih Demokrasi Bikinan Melayu – Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold…

On 11th of May this year, the United Malays National Organisation is 62 years old. Now, I found this portion of Y. B. Yeats poem The Second Coming is appropriate to describe the situation facing that party today:

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity

William Butler Yeats – The Second Coming

I won’t elaborate on the meaning of that part of the poem and how it is applicable to the issue on hand. That will be for Readers to decide.
